From strategy to shared success

Global Media Company

Across multiple projects, AIS has helped a global media and entertainment company create workplaces shaped around connection, collaboration and belonging responding to different people, places and business needs.

From strategy to shared success

From Manchester to Antwerp, each project has started with a different challenge but a shared ambition: to create workplaces that give people greater choice, strengthen connections between teams and provide an environment people want to be part of.

Workplace strategy has been central to understanding how each location needs to perform, with those insights informing design decisions around space, movement, collaboration and focused work. Flexible settings, biophilic elements, acoustic treatments and considered materials bring comfort and character, while construction, technology and furniture ensure each environment works practically as well as creatively.

As the relationship has developed, AIS has been able to carry knowledge and insight from one project to the next without applying a one-size-fits-all solution. The result is a growing portfolio of workplaces that share a common approach while remaining firmly rooted in the needs of their people, location and purpose.

Creating choice for a collaborative culture

The 9,567 sq ft Manchester workplace transformed an inflexible office into an environment better aligned with the organisation’s collaborative and creative culture.

The previous space offered limited choice, with inflexible furniture and outdated tools restricting opportunities for interaction, ideation and focused work. AIS responded by organising the workplace around three distinct settings; Social, Collaboration and Focus giving employees greater freedom to choose an environment based on the task at hand.

Flexible furniture allows spaces to adapt throughout the working day, while integrated technology supports communication and idea sharing between teams. Ergonomic solutions, acoustic treatments and biophilic elements bring employee comfort and wellbeing into the everyday workplace experience.

At the heart of the scheme, a dedicated Collaboration Zone creates a vibrant setting for spontaneous interaction and collective thinking, helping the workplace become an active part of the organisation’s creative culture.

The result is a flexible, people-centred environment that supports different ways of working while creating more opportunities for colleagues to connect.

A partnership that keeps evolving

From Manchester to Antwerp, each project has built on what came before while responding to a different workplace challenge.

Manchester created greater choice for a collaborative and creative workforce, while Antwerp took the relationship forward by bringing two organisations together and making more of a significantly smaller footprint.

By combining workplace strategy, design, construction and furniture expertise, AIS has been able to create environments that share a people-first approach without applying a one-size-fits-all solution. Each workplace responds to its own teams, location and purpose, while lessons and insights developed through the partnership inform what comes next.
