Revolut London

Revolut is a company defined by pace, ambition and disruption, and its new global headquarters in Canary Wharf has been designed to match this vision. The brief given to design and construction experts AIS was to create a workplace that was an extension of the brand, through London’s largest ever design and build project. The aim was to create an office that employees want to come into every day, not through obligation, but because it inspires creativity, collaboration, and a sense of belonging. The 113,000 sq ft HQ in the YY Building does just that, while redefining workplace design through insight and innovation.

Client challenges

This was never just about creating an office. Revolut wanted a workplace that felt like an extension of the brand: ambitious, disruptive, and unapologetically people-focused. As the team explained, “The workplace wasn’t just a utility, it was an extension of our brand as a lifestyle platform and a cultural beacon for recruitment and retention.”

The goal was clear: to design a space employees wanted to come into every day – not because they had to, but because it inspired creativity, collaboration, and belonging. Delivered after 10 months on site and more than 180,000 build hours, is a headquarters that blends the comfort of home with the edge of innovation.

Designing for people, brand, and growth

AIS’s role was not to impose a vision, but to translate Revolut’s global ambition into a future-ready environment. Every design decision was made to protect and nurture the culture of innovation that defines the brand, while supporting agility and long-term growth.

“We’re here to design, shape, and form the environment that supports our clients’ vision for the future. That means understanding their ambitions at the deepest level and creating spaces that bring them to life.” – Simon Hart, Creative Director, AIS.

This partnership was built on trust, openness, and shared ambition. AIS became an extension of Revolut’s leadership team, making real-time decisions that kept the project moving at pace while staying true to the vision.

From storytelling to lived experience

What made AIS’s approach stand out was storytelling. Rather than just presenting visuals, the pitch showed how the office would be lived in, from daily workflows to social interactions in the gym, sauna, and auditorium. This ability to connect design to lived experience gave Revolut confidence that AIS understood its mission.

Together, the teams created a workplace that blended brand ambition with future-facing innovation, introducing defining features such as integrated technology and expansive LED walls, now a signature element of the HQ.
